Junk Yard Dogs and Jesus?

Junk Yard Dogs tells a story of a ‘prison’ junk yard where an evil task-master, Junk Yard Jack, keeps dogs as slaves and forces them to work for him as he builds his empire of trash.

The central character, a dog named Bulls-Eye, longs to be free from slavery. He knows there is a promise of a ‘deliverer’ that will come to free all the dogs from Junk Yard Jack. Each day the students will come to cheer Bulls-Eye on as he seeks freedom from slavery.

If you haven’t guessed by now, Junk Yard Dogs is a story like Moses and Pharaoh and, even more importantly, it is the story of the freedom that only Jesus brings to God’s children.

Children will learn they weren’t made for the junk yard; they have been set free to serve their new master… Jesus!

Session 1 - Why live in the junkyard when you were made for the Big House?

We used to be God’s worst enemy, now, because of Jesus, we can be His best friend when we put our faith and trust in Him.

Session 2 - But we’re still slaves… ...What’s up with that??

Everyone likes to do things their own way but then we really are just slaves to sin. True freedom only comes when we become slaves to Jesus, the New Master. Slavery to Jesus is not a BAD thing it's the BEST thing! Make Him your Master today!

Session 3 - God is on our side. Nuf’ said!

God is working everything for good. He can take the bad stuff, turn it into good stuff, then change it into God stuff!

Session 4 - We are conquerors… …end of story!!

Three Parting Gifts

1. The Shield – Jesus protects us from the enemy’s accusations, we are NOT guilty!

2. The Fire Extinguisher – Jesus has put out the ‘fire’ of death.

3. The Blankie - We are wrapped in God’s love; nothing can take His love away!
