Gary Emmons : Assoc. Pastor
Gary Emmons
was born on November 11th, he was born in
Ohio and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in
1957, he is the youngest of three
children. He married his wife, Kathy on
April 5th, 1980. He has two grown children
Jessica and LeeAnn, both of whom are
involved in various ministries.

Gary is the Associate Pastor of
Christ's Church of Fountain Hills where he
has ministered since 1991.
Growing up in Scottsdale Gary was active in
Little League, school sports and Boy Scouts.
He attended Tonalea grade school and
graduated from Coronado High School.
In 1977, Gary graduated from Arizona State
University with a B.S. in Manufacturing
Engineering Technology. While pursuing his
degree he was involved with off-road racing,
which led to building and racing a car in
the Firecracker 250, Barstow, California, in
1976.
During his college career, he accepted the
Lord at a Billy Graham Crusade and for the
first time began reading the Bible. After
graduating from ASU he moved to Denver,
Colorado and worked for Midwest Iron and
Steel, building bridges and high rises.
While in Denver, he did what everyone in
Denver does, he went skiing every weekend.
As Gary states "Life
was good, but my spiritual life was lame."
Eventually he
moved back to Tempe, Arizona and married his
college sweetheart, Kathy. In 1980 he
started his own company, Emcon Printed
Circuits. Several years later their two
beautiful daughters were born, Jessica and
LeeAnn. As Gary states, "Family…great!
Business…great! Personal life…lousy!" Jesus
Christ finally got his attention. He no
longer tolerated Gary just knowing about
Him. He wanted Gary to know Him. He wanted
Gary to trust Him. He wanted to become real
in Gary's life. Now Gary says, "Life is
great!"
At the urging of Pastor Don Lawrence, Gary
went back to college and graduated in 1991
from Pepperdine University with a Masters
Degree in Ministry. In March, 1991 he began
his full-time ministry, sold his business,
and joined the staff at Christ's Church of
Fountain Hills. He has worked as the
children’s pastor, high school pastor,
administrator, and currently works with
adults. Life is an adventure!
